Product Description

Ding Kiln, one of the Five Great Kilns of the Song Dynasty, was located in Quyang County, Hebei Province. It was named after Dingzhou, the region it belonged to.

Ding ware is known for its ivory-tinted white glaze, offering a soft, serene, and elegant appearance.

Decoration techniques mainly include carving, incising, and stamping. Uniquely, some pieces bear inscriptions such as Fenghua, Jinyuan, Guan, and Xinguan,

indicating their use in the imperial court and reflecting the kiln’s exceptional quality.

-

The cup, with its flared rim and small foot, appears particularly delicate and graceful. Swimming fish motifs add a refined and timeless charm.
